The global pandemic has made everyone go online with their business.
If you are here, reading this, you are either already online with your business or planning to.
You must take these precautions before listing products on your eCommerce store.
This blog is specifically dedicated to the Shopify store. We will come back with a separate blog for eCommerce marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart & other eCommerce stores like WooCommerce.
SKU Tracking Example (Product Code)
Digital printed palazzo - DP2001S
Plain palazzo - PP3001S
Suit Set Savera - SS4001S
Kurtis (all variations) - KU5001S
Scarf - SC6001S
Kurti with palazzo set - KP7001S
The first 2 letters will be unique to identify the collection.
The numerical series 2001 and similar will also be unique for each collection.
The last letter/s will be for the Size variant.
You must have a unique code for every product variant you have listed on your website. Say, for example, you are selling a Kurti of Red color in 5 sizes. Each size needs to have a unique code.
This is important to track the products on the website. When you run ads on social media or other platforms, and someone asks the price for the product shown in the ad, you can easily find that out by tracking the same from the product code.
